Board of Directors - New Horizons Caregivers Group

Donna Lemaster: Chairman of the Board, Executive Director
Donna is presently the Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of NHCG. She has been with NHCG since April 2015; the first two years as Program Director. Donna has over 17 years in management experience; which includes Manager with Postal Annex (8 yrs.), Supervisor with Wholesale Merchant Processing (4 yrs.), Sales Manager with Beaverton Bakery (2yrs). Most recently Donna has taken the Dale Carnegie course, and excelled. In her present position with NHCG she handles all administrative duties, (including grant writing), coordinates volunteer’s, fundraisers and schedules all food pickups, deliveries and FIESTA events. Donna is a member of The National Group of Delta Kappa Gamma Society for Women Educators. 

Jennifer Ayaz:  Secretary
Jen is a wife and a stay-at-home mother of 3 boys. Volunteering in various roles at the kids’ school and is currently the PTA President. She works part time at her husband’s law office. She enjoys running, crafting, spending time outdoors with my family and volunteer as team leader of a small group of girls in 5th grade through her church on Wednesday evenings. Before becoming a mom, her career was spent in Sales & Marketing in the medical device industry.

Alicia Richardson:  Treasurer, Medical Assistant
Alicia has fourteen years customer service and management experience in a retail setting. For a Period of five years after, she was the bookkeeper for a business that she owned in Portland, Oregon. In 2015 she went back to school to become a Medical Assistant. In 2016, she started working for a family practice in Anaheim Hills. She is dedicated to providing care for others. The family practice that she works for donates the ice packs and coolers that they receive shipments in to New Horizons Caregivers Group.

Marsha Marks Godwin:  Board Member, Retired Account Sales Management
Marsha has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She has 35 years of Management Training with the General Electric Company.  She has mentored young people moving up in the
GE Corporation.  Marsha has been an active member in the Hacienda Heights Improvement Association, has volunteered at the Whittier Red Cross and provided support to women in shelters through the
Glendora Women's Club.  Marsha currently volunteers and helps in obtaining donations with NHCG's FIESTA Program. 

Mary Skavinski:  Retired Teacher, School Counselor, Advisor
Mary was a middle school teacher for 22 years and a middle school counselor for 23 years.  Mary began her life in service in the 1970's with Maclaren Children's Center co-leading group sessions, and is Hospice trained.  In the 1980's Mary was on the Board of Directors of Y.W.C.A. of San Gabriel Valley working with Women's Shelter (WINGS).  She has been trained in Abuse/Shelter and worked on abuse hot lines.  She is trained CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) working with court, investigating foster placement and advocate for foster care children at Edelman Children's Court, L.A. County.   Mary has served at Auxiliary of Citrus Valley Medical Center Surgery Waiting Room as a volunteer.  Mary is a trained Ombudsman, where she investigates patient complaints (patient advocate) and administer documents (living will, etc).  Mary has played a critical role for New Horizons in obtaining free space at the HLPUSD and donation of school supplies through her various contacts within the HLPUSD.

Esther Bañuelos: Board Member
Esther has been a long-time resident in the City of La Puente for almost 50 years.  She worked as a seamstress for over 40 years and is now retired and very active in her community.  Esther has volunteered at St. Louise of France Catholic Church for over 20 years, family caregiver for 10 years, and most recently with New Horizons Caregivers Group for the past two years.  She has played a critical role at New Horizons by serving the Spanish-speaking community with pre-registrations at school sites throughout the school district.

Korotha C. Lilly Lambright: Board Member, Nurse with Master’s Degree
Korotha holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing from UCLA with a specialty in Cardiovascular Surgery.  As a Board Member she is committed to humanitarian work because of my Christian upbringing & to be an extension of God’s hand to tend to the sick, indigent & impoverished. Korotha has served as an Adjunct Professor at two high profile universities. Her forte is humanitarian based as she has consistently volunteered pro-bono to help others in various capacities: Greater than 2000 hours as a Red Cross volunteer in Rota, Spain, Anaheim CERT member, Airman Thrift Shop Volunteer on Anderson Air Force Base-Guam, USO Volunteer, Honor Flight Volunteer greeting & serving thousands of WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, and Iraq Veterans, Smile of a Child taking care of under privileged children brought across the southern border for Cleft lip surgery, served as medical staff at Blue Angels Air shows and has  volunteered endless hours assisting the elderly.
